Learning Style Assessment

Everyone has a unique way of being.  Our lifestyles are different; the way we work is different. This programme offers the means to identify the varied learning pattern of the child or student.

The tests done in normal schools, do test some abilities, but not all abilities.  They also adhere to the idea that intelligence is something that you are born with and is fixed at birth.  We have the ability to develop our intelligence.  It is not fixed.

How to find your learning style

The learning style assessment is based on Accelerated Learning Techniques and Educational Kinesiology Work (which includes work on Brain Gym®). During a Learning Style Assessment there are three main factors that need to be considered all of these are done or discussed in order to inform us as to how a child (or adult) learns. :

1. How Do You Take In Information Most Easily?

Are you or your child a visual, auditory or kinaesthetic (physical) learner?  In other words, do you learn by seeing the information, by hearing the information or by doing something with or touching the information?  Do you require a combination of two or three of these?

2. How Do You Organise and Process Information (Brain Dominance Patterns)?

With this aspect we need to consider whether a person is predominately left brained or right brained.  We also need to consider whether they are predominately analytical in their processing of information or more intuitive or global.

3. What Conditions Are Necessary For You To Take In And Store The Information?

Here we consider the physical environment, the social needs and the emotional needs of the individual.With this knowledge we are then able to know how to go about teaching the child (or adult). We can also help them to know how to receive information in a way that suits them enabling them to take more charge of what and how they learn.

Fees

Cost of Learning Style Assessment: £115 (inc VAT) for a one off assessment and includes a written report with recommendations. The assessment lasts about an hour and half.
